Testing

One Million Miles of Testing

We performed more than one million miles of on-road testing on Enhanced Hybrid Technology formulations. These tests were conducted across the following platforms:

  • Domestic
  • Import
  • Light truck
  • Fleet

These tests resulted in a brake pad with:

  • 20 to 25 percent improved stopping power
  • Reduced noise
  • 35 percent wear reduction

Professional Grade Formulations

DELIVERS INDUSTRY-LEADING COVERAGE AND BRAKING PERFORMANCE.

Raybestos professional grade brake pads are offered in either ceramic or semi-metallic formulations and are guaranteed to match or improve on OE friction performance.

Offering excellent coverage for import and domestic applications, professional grade formulations extend the premium quality you expect from the Element3 brand to a wider range of vehicles.

Specifications

Materials

Professional grade formulations are made with application-specific ceramic or semi-metallic formulations.

  • Semi-metallic applications provide quiet braking and a strong bite for OE-matched or better braking power.
  • Ceramic applications deliver responsive braking that’s clean and silent.

All products are cured so that they are ready to install right out of the box.

Backing Plate

The backing plate is stamped or shaved depending on the application. This allows for proper movement of the pad within the caliper assembly and helps to reduce:

  • Noise
  • Premature wear
  • Brake pulsation

Slots and Chambers

The slots and chamfers match OE design, which allows braking gasses to escape and helps reduce:

  • Noise
  • Vibration
  • Harshness

Shims

Noise-dampening shims deliver quiet braking and excellent durability.

The shims are fitted to the pad with a spring-locked attachment, ensuring they stay in place for their entire service life.

Electronic Wear Sensors

Attached electronic wear sensors are included when the application calls for it.
